First off, let me say that I’m staunchly against remakes, like most movie fans (why reheat an old franchise when you can make a shiny, brand-new one?). Second, MacGyver is an important part to any living soul in the 1980s…and now it’s the next classic franchise to be re-imagined as a feature film.

So let me be the first (and certainly not the last) person to say “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

Is nothing sacred is this cruel, cruel world? Apparently not.

Then again, if the writers at SNL that concocted MacGruber are at the helm, maybe MacGyver would have a fighting chance. Just maybe…
